Not letting it go
I STILL think it’s crazy to automatically add Ham to all calzones unless you specifically say “No Ham.”
It’s like calling up to order a pizza, and having it automatically include olives, unless you say “no olives.”
And no, saying “that’s just how we do it” is not acceptable to satisfy me as a customer.

Seriously, you have issues.
It’s not that they automatically add Ham to all calzones, it’s that their menu only lists Calzone as Ham, Ricotta, and Mozzarella. That is what their calzone is, it’s not pick 3 ingredients or choose what you want, it’s a Ham, Ricotta, and Mozz Calzone! The common order for them is to add in more toppings, or someone to say “sausage instead of ham”.
You ordered without a menu in front of you, and Dennis didn’t specifically say Vegetarian. Their menu clearly states it, and I believe they do it because Calzones are not their main product so they wanted to expedite how it’s made and ordered.
Besides, I’m pretty sure I mentioned to people (Dennis specifically) as they were ordering Calzones what the main ingredients were. What should satisfy you as a customer is that their menu clearly states it, and it wasn’t specified as a vegetarian calzone. It’s not some massive conspiracy to get you to eat meat, though it SHOULD be.
It is NOT clear on the menu- I looked. In fact, it’s not clear that you can add any toppings at all. At least when we called Pizza Hut and tried to order a custom P’zone, which is the same theory, they TELL YOU that their P’zones have certain things in them. That did not happen.
This is the first time I have ever had this kind of thing happen- no other pizza/calzone joint I have ever been to puts a random topping in. It’s not even a common topping like pepperoni! So I don’t think it’s unreasonable of me to expect otherwise when EVERY OTHER restaurant does it one way that they also do it that way.
Their menu says, “Calzone – Ham, Ricotta, Mozzarella”
What isn’t clear about that?
